Čertovica
Trzeci punkt kontrolny będzie znajdował się w sercu Tatr Niskich na słowackiej przełęczy Čertovica, na wysokości 1242 m n.p.m. Jest to najwyższa asfaltowa przełęcz na Słowacji i ważny punkt początkowy lub końcowy wielu popularnych tras tego niesamowitego pasma górskiego. Droga na szczyt to około 12 km podjazdu, a jej średnie nachylenie oscyluje w okolicach 5%, ale to nie ta część odcinka secjalnego będzie najtrudniejsza dla naszych zawodników.
Wjazd na szczyt tej przełęczy poprzedzi obowiązkowa wspinaczka na najwyższy asfalt w tej części Europy, słowacki szczyt narodowy Kráľova hoľa o wysokości 1946 m n.p.m. Wąska droga o długości 11,5 km prowadzi do stacji na szczycie, przez serpentyny z Šumiac w dolinie Hronu – asfalt w górnej części, powyżej granicy lasu, a w dolnej – dość trudny odcinek szutrowy. Przy różnicy wzniesień 1162 m, średnie nachylenie wynosi tutaj ponad 10%. Zdobycie tego szczytu w maju będzie niezapomnianym przeżyciem.
PK3 będzie otwarty 24 godziny na dobę od przybycia pierwszego zawodnika do godziny 14:00 w dniu 24.05.2022.

CONTROL POINT 03
Čertovica
The third control point will be located in the heart of the Low Tatras on the Slovak Čertovica Pass, at an altitude of 1242 m.a.s.l. It is the highest asphalt pass in Slovakia and an important starting or ending point for many popular routes to the highest peaks of this range. Road to the top is about a 12 km climb and its average slope oscillates around 5%, but it is not this part of the parcour that will be the most challenging for our riders.
Getting to the top of this pass will be preceded by the obligatory climb of the highest asphalt in this part of Europe, the Slovak national summit, Kráľova hoľa at 1946 m.a.s.l. A narrow road with a length of 11.5 km leads to the ranger station at the top, through serpentines from Šumiac in the Hron valley – asphalt in the upper part, above the forest border, and in the lower – quite difficult gravel section. With an elevation difference of 1162 m, the average slope is 10,6%. Climbing this summit in May will be an unforgettable experience for our riders.
CP3 will be open 24 hours a day from the arrival of the first rider until 14:00 on 24.05.2022.
